Accessibility Statement
Our goal
Every page on this site should be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or high contrast settings. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What we do
- Plain HTML with real headings, lists and tables, so screen readers can move by structure.
- No scripts, pop ups, auto playing media or timed content.
- Text that resizes with your browser settings, and layouts that work at phone width without sideways scrolling.
- Color contrast checked for body text and links, and links that are underlined.
- Every page in English and Spanish, with the language marked in the code so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
- Data tables with header cells and a downloadable CSV copy of the figures.
Known limits
Some pages link to IRS forms in PDF. Those files are published by the IRS, and their accessibility depends on the IRS. IRS.gov offers accessible formats of its forms and publications.
